Are you transferring a domain after it has been expired? Domain transferring does not happen in an instant. Small time registrars take a longer time to respond or help in transferring a domain from them. They prefer not to assist you at all and treat you as an long time enemy. You end up with innumerable calls and email exchange finally with no fruitful result.
Recently, I did a domain transfer from ManasHosting to Godaddy. First of all it took me a month to reach a person who was aware of what I was speaking and what a domain transfer is all about. After this, he assured me that he would assist me in the transfer. But I finally found that the domain control access itself has been denied. I had to make repeated calls again to find out the Transaction ID and Security Code that was sent by Godaddy. I finally thought all this is over.
But that was not the case. I still needed an Authorization Code. Where do I get this authorization code? I had to again call up the registrant and ask for this. When I was finally able to get this, I ended up in distress to find out a new message poping out of the control panel.
“Pending Current Registrar Approval” “Accept transfer at current registrar”
What was this now? It has been like this for the last 4 days. How long should I wait? Is it not that easy as accepting the transfer clicking on a button? Why does it take so long? When I wrote to GoDaddy they said it would take four days. Does it mean four working days?
Domain Transfer is not an easy process as it looks by the click of your mouse. Once the process is initiated (that is after entering the Transaction ID and Security Code and then entering Authorization Code in the Godaddy Domain Control Panel) then godaddy sends an email to the admin contact of the current domain admin contact which takes 4days. After the admin contact has clicked the link in the email allowing the authorization then within a day the domain will be visible in your godaddy domain control panel.
All I can say is you have to wait for the email to be sent to the admin contact, also check spam/junk emails and be patient.
Same situation here. I want to transfer a domain from Manashosting to GoDaddy. Can someone please let me know the procedure. Did it work out for somebody? How long does it take?
Same as here, i see this line for last 4 days ‘your domain will transferin’ even i transfer my domain google aplication (godaddy) to godaddy.. and when i write letter to godaddy, than they reply :
Thank you for contacting Online Support. Here is a short outline of how domain name transfers work.
• The process starts when you purchase a transfer request from the Go Daddy Domain Transfer page.
• We send an email to the administrative contact address listed on the domain
• Go Daddy receives your reply to our confirmation request
• We then send the request to the domain’s current registry who in turn contacts your current registrar
• Your current Registrar sends an email to you to verify your intent
• They then receive your reply to their confirmation request
• Your current registrar approves the request and releases the domain
Domain name transfers take, on average, seven to ten working days to complete.
Please let us know if we can help in any other way.
Sincerely,
Hello Kate,
I am having same problem transfering domain before expiration of a day. manashosting to godaddy…. but now my website is down….
Please guide me to solve the problem.
Did you manage to transfer your domain? How long did it take? Please let me know since I want to transfer my domain too.
Kiran, I called up Yahoo as my transfer too was pending. To my distress they informed that they are not the reseller. What the heck is this. They are asking me to call Melbourne IT and this one is in Australia. I even tried that but in vain. I think we just need to wait as I was told it takes atleast 4-5 days.
Hey Kate,
I too have the same message Pending Current Registrar Approval in my domain control panel. I am moving from Yahoo Small business. Does this mean these people hate us once they know that we are moving out?
