Tata Indicom Broadband Prepaid Tariff

Tata Indicom Broadband has announced a range of prepaid personal plans for broadband customers. Most of the charges do not include an installation fee.


The packages termed Power On range from 384 kbps to 512 kbps and ranges from Rs 850 per month to Rs. 1,500 per month. The tariff for Bangalore is listed below:

For installation, you need to submit address proof and photo proof. Address proof can be:

  • Lease Agreement/ Rent agreement/ Flat purchase agreement/ Letter from the company

  • Form ST 2

  • Ration Card

  • Electricity Bill

  • Bank Statement/ Pass book

  • Credit Card statement

  • Form 16/ Assessment order from Income Tax

  • Telephone Bill

  • Gas connection bill

Photo ID can be any of the below:

  • Passport

  • Election ID Card

  • Driving License

  • PAN Card

  • Student ID Card

Plans with upfront charges can be paid either through a cheque or a demand draft. You would not be able to make a payment using credit card, debit card or cash and this makes the process more tedious.

If you wish to move to another location, beware! You would have to pay again for the cable installation. Tata Indicom claims to provide the installation within 7 days. However, customers have reported a waiting time of 3 to 4 weeks after repeated calls to customer care.


Tata Indicom Broadband Services are available for Bangalore in Koramangala, Indira Nagar, Basavangudi, RT Nagar, Airport Road, Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Banaswadi, Banshankari, Rajaji Nagar, Cox Town, Richmond Street, Majestic, MG Road, HAL, Electronic City, ITPL, KR Puram and other neighbouring areas. However, do not expect to get an high speed internet if your house is in a low lying area, away from the transmitter or if the signal strength is below 15.
