Some of you who are trying to view the Google Cache of a page might end up with a similar error as above. Google has been mentioning this while clicking on the Cache link for recently cached pages. If you analyze closely, you would find that this occurs only to pages indexed a few hours back.
The most probable reason should be that the server is not yet ready to show you the Cache page and you would have to wait for some time, probably a day to view it.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve clicked a “Cached” hyperlink on a Google results page, and gotten this error. If Google is is not yet ready to show me the cached page, it should not present a “Cached” hyperlink in its results. It would be pretty simple for them to add code that checks whether the cached links are any good while the results page is being built; then Google could stop serving up these broken links to its users.
My site has had this problem for several days now. Does anyone have a suggestion on getting this issue resolved other than just waiting?
now i know why happend that. thank you
wow i googled it and it said it couldnt find anything whatsoever.
Thank you for this info, I just came across this error with my cache, had me worried.
I have same problem with cache more than two weeks. Site is new on the Internet. I uploaded it before three weeks. All is ok with google analytics. Google webmaster tools said that 6 of 8 pages are indexed. Webmaster tools said that all is ok with my sitemap.xml file, and with robots.txt too.
Having the exact same problem. Very annoying. But, if you say is true, this is actually ok since it means that my page was crawled and should be indexed ok…
Having the same problem. Will check in a few days
Hi, When google does this will it mean that the new cached page will re rank its position in the serps.
Sometimes I have pages that dissapear completely from the index until the new cache appears? I mean from say page 2 for a search term to not anywhere at all!
But other pages from the same domain are still sitting happy at there serps positions!
A good site map thats updated with every change may be the answer for some.
Cheers
Phil
Thanks for the advice, I have just had this error on one of my pages.. I wasn’t sure if google had removed the page from its index for some reason! Thanks for clearing that up.
Thanks for the info. Google has been doing this to me on my blog lately. It would usually go away within a few hours, but now it’s been doing it for several days. I was getting concerned. Guess I’ve been posting too often. I appreciate the info.
