Did you ever regret that you shouldn’t have sent such a mail after you got drunk? Google can now help you avoid such a mail. Mail Goggles, the new Gmail feature will ask you few easy maths questions before you hit the “send” button.
Mail Goggles is available by default during Friday and Saturday nights and can be activated by accessing the “Labs” tab inside “Settings”. The schedule can also be further changed in the “General” tab inside “Settings”.
Google states that the mail that you send during late nights on a weekends may make you regret the next day morning. And with solving some simple maths questions, Google can determine that you are in a clear state of mind. Otherwise, get a good night’s sleep and try again in the morning.
Mail Goggle developed by Jon Perlow who is an engineer at Gmail stated that the feature was a result of his own weakness. “Sometimes I send messages I shouldn’t send. Like the time I told that girl I had a crush on her over text message. Or the time I sent that late night email to my ex-girlfriend that we should get back together.”
Google is always known for coming up with cool and interesting features and this is just another feather in its hat.
