Satyam secured projects worth $79 million on its second quarter 09 in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. The BSE filling by Satyam also states that it is looking at doubling its business in these regions in the next 1.5 – 2.0 years.Manojeet Chowdhury, Head of MENA Region at Mahindra Satyam mentioned, “The Middle East continues to be a key component of Mahindra Satyam’s growth and part of our growth plans for the region, we are looking into strengthening our operations in the region given the significant contribution of this market to our revenues”
Satyam has its main project bases at UAE and this alone contributes 38 percent of its total revenues. UAE is followed by Kuwait with 18 percent and Qatar and Bahrain with 13 percent. It has now also won new projects in Oman, Morocco and Jordan.
