Google has again applied a fresh Penguin update after the last Penguin update version 2.1 that happened in 2013.
Penguin 3.0 is however a smaller update compared to Penguin 2.1. Google states that the update has affected less than 1% of all US and English lanquage queries in Google search pretaining only to data. The update is happening for more than a week with new changes still surfacing based on reports from Google algorithm and keyword rank watch groups.
The update is also expected to recover websites from profile link issues when the previous Penguin update was rolledout. This update also looks at bad link profiles of websites so this area would be something that Internet Marketing companies should watch out for while building their backlinks.
