Google has completed its acquisition of Double Click, a familiar online ad serving and management company. Google’s chairman and chief executive officer, Eric Schmidt informed that Google is thrilled with the acquisition of Double Click. “We are thrilled that our acquisition of DoubleClick has closed. With DoubleClick, Google now has the leading display ad platform, which will enable us to rapidly bring to market advances in technology and infrastructure that will dramatically improve the effectiveness, measurability and performance of digital media for publishers, advertisers and agencies, while improving the relevance of advertising for users.”
DoubleClick was a popular provider of internet marketing technology to publishers, advertisers and ad agencies. Many of the leading publishers, agencies and marketers had an ad account with DoubleClick. DoubleClick has its U.S. offices in Denver, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Santa Monica and their Europe operations in France, Germany, Ireland, Spain and the United Kingdom.
DoubleClick also has its operations in Asia covering Australia, China, Hong Kong and Shangai.
