Annamalai University was founded by philanthropist Late Dr. Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar of Chettinad. The university spanning 1500 acres, its one of Asia’s largest public residential universities. Its located in Annamalai Nagar, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, South India.
Courses
The university boasts of more than 500 courses through distance education. It was one of the first institutions in India to offer Post Graduate Degree programs in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Applied Psychology and Law.

Overseas Campuses
Annamalai University opened its first Study Center in Canada in 2006 offering Tamil, Dance and Music. Other overseas campuses include Al Mihad, Dubai, Sharjah, Univted Arab Emirates and Al Noor Education Center, Muscat, Oman.
