Spy-proof Smartphone for Obama

Blackberry addicted Obama does not have to worry anymore. He can continue his addiction as news from the white house states that he might be given a spy-proof smartphone.

Between raising security concerns on hacking devices like Blackberry which has GPS and other wireless technologies built-in, the disreputable technophobic White House decision comes as a surprise.

Speaking to the press, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stated, “The president has a BlackBerry.” He also added that the decision is “a compromise that allows him to stay in touch with senior staff and a small group of personal friends” and mentioned that “Use will be limited and the security is enhanced to ensure his ability to communicate but to do so effectively and to do so in a way that is protected”.

Obama who was often seen clinging to his dear blackberry during his hectic campaign days should be breathing a huge sigh of relief.

It should be noted that former President George W. Bush was forced to quit using e-mails and President Bill Clinton sent just two e-mail messages during his entire administration period.

In one of Marc Ambinder’s blog, reported that the National Security Agency has infact approved a $3,350 smartphone for Obama’s use. This smartphone made by General Dynamics can handle classified documents and encrypting top secret voice conversations.
